Workforce Development Resources
The ZESBI project supports workforce development efforts to ensure local educational agencies and their partners are equipped for the switch to zero-emission transportation. Eligible activities may include job training, upskilling, and hands-on technical instruction related to zero-emission buses and infrastructure.
For ZESBI incentive recipients, up to 10 percent of the total grant award may be used to support your school transportation program through eligible costs such as workforce training, transportation to and from training, equipment, and other related expenses necessary to complete training.

Free EV Fleet Tech Training for CA School Districts | ATL Education
Advanced Transportation and Logistics’ (ATL) curriculum was developed by subject matter experts in advanced vehicle technologies. ATL’s Electric School Bus courses train school bus fleet technicians on EV school bus safety, maintenance, and charging infrastructure. Free online and in-person courses are available. Please refer to the training schedule listed on ATL’s website.
For Drivers training programs, please reach out to your zero-emission school bus original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to inquire on available programs.
